Led by our professional Theatre Director, Wycombe Swan Drama Club is a 10 week programme for young people aged 8 -16 years old to want to develop their confidence, creativity and performance skills. These sessions will be fast-paced, fun and focus on building social and acting skills.

8-10 YEARS

Monday evenings during term time 6pm-7pm
This 10 week course is all about having fun and making new friends while learning skills in acting and performance.

Participants will work together under the guidance of our Theatre Director and workshop assistants to create their own unique performance based on a piece of literature to be performed at the end of term. This course will allow participants to explore and develop their own individual characters using a variety of theatre techniques in a fun and nurturing environment.

11-13 YEARS

Monday evenings during term time 7pm-8pm
An exciting 10 week course of discovery for a young actor. You will work with our professional Theatre Director to develop your skills from page to stage. Using a variety of techniques including physical theatre, improvisation, soundscapes, movement, music, character and script work with an aim to build a devised play to be performed at the end of the term.

This was a hugely successful course last year which produced some incredible work. The activities are centred on team work and developing confidence, creativity and performance skills and is a wonderful way to make new friends.

14-16 YEARS

Monday evenings during term time 8pm-9pm
This is a fun-packed programme centred on learning the skills you need to work together as a professional drama company to produce high quality work. Working alongside our professional Theatre Director and workshop assistants you will decide the theme to base a devised piece of theatre around. We will work with you to develop your skills in physical theatre, improvisation, clowning, movement, voice, character and script work with an aim to build a devised play to be performed at the end of the term.

You will leave this course armed with new skills and new ways to approach your work as a budding actor. It’s a fantastic way to make new friends and learn how to work in a company.

We know that for some this can be a daunting process, however with years of teaching and workshop experience, our tutors are well equipped to bring even the quietest of students out of their shells and to get the best out of each individual.A short performance will be given on at the end of a 10 week term which is free to family and friends.
